This an alliance which aims to promote and increase awareness of environmental issues concerning the beautification of the southern Illinois region, and to assist in beautification projects and education through community service.

The Illinois Sustainable Technology Center at University of Illinois, "helps organizations achieve zero waste at every step by being a resource for innovative disposal and reuse of materials. ISTC provides information and technical assistance that helps organizations improve their environmental footprint. We conduct waste audits and assist with materials management planning, supply chain optimization, and stakeholder engagement.” Through the Center’s Technical Assistance Program (TAP), it maintains Zero Waste Illinois, which provides waste audits and helps organizations achieve zero waste.
