In the past few months members of the Stewardship Campaign Committee have heard stories about how our church has touched the lives of many of our members through our interesting and inspiring worship services, ministry to those who are sick or in need of support, and friendships with fellow members of the church. Every day our church fulfills its mission of seeking the faith, sharing the spirit and serving all of God’s people. And, importantly, our church is doing all of this with energy, imagination, intelligence, and of course love. SEEKING, SHARING, and SERVING are the three pillars of our church that guide our programs, our missions, and our love of God. Stay tuned as the 2019 campaign progresses. We hope that you will continue to support God’s work not only on Sundays but throughout each week as well as we continue to have an impact on our members, in our local community, and around the world.

We do not seek the faith because it is lost. Rather, we seek the faith when we draw close to God and when we do, we know that God
draws close to us. Seeking the faith is part of the Christian walk of faith that many people miss, but it is an act of building a relationship with God. Your ongoing support of our church helps make it possible
for members and others to meet God in important ways that change lives.

There is no doubt that the life of First Presbyterian Church is filled with the Holy Spirit. We know that without a life full of the Holy Spirit, God’s work will be limited. Jesus commanded his followers to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In our Sunday services and our mission outreach, we share the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of Life. Supporting our church is one way that you can help us to share the spirit.

Many people have the misconception that being “called” by God is something only missionaries and pastors experience. But the Bible says that everyone is “called” to serve God by serving others. When we serve, we shift our focus off of ourselves onto others. We begin to see others as Jesus sees them. One of the ways we can serve God and serve others is by helping
God’s children—our brothers and sisters in Christ—through financial support of First Presbyterian
Church and its programs.
